Pelt - Ayahuasca

For those of us content with sitting and listening to an album for hours and getting lost in said album, Pelt is a saving grace. Pelt are a experimental, droned out and physed up band who bring us long, unwinding and dreamy soundscapes, the soundtrack to an opium den if you will. Former band of the fallen Jack Rose, Pelt are a must for any drone, post-folk lastfm heads out there, enjoy.

Shikari - Deadmen EP

Screamo, Emo, Chaos, whichever you like to call it, Shikari are the granddaddy, formed back in 1999 Shikari bring a fierce sound wrapped in a chaotic and full on sound. Having reformed back in 2009 to play CMAR and still being active as fair as i know, there may be hope for some new material. Shikari are one of the most influential bands on the scremo scene and it is easy to see why. Deadmen EP is a quick introduction to their sound and is an amazing EP. a must listen for any scremo fans, enjoy.

Failures - 7"

Failures are somewhat of a supergroup, from the ashes of Das Oath, Ampere, Charles Broson, and Cut the Shit amongst others, you can see plenty of reasons to get excited about these bands. While their sound is fairly distant from their previous bands they bring a fast hardcore punk sound to the plate. Full of thrashing energy and chaotic hardcore, Failures are an exciting listen, get on this and mosh.

Empire! Empire! (I was a lonely estate)

So, it's been a while since last update. Empire! Empire! was introduced to me on Last FM by the label Count your lucky Stars, at first I was a bit weary as all labels are going to say 'this band is great!'. Alas i am eternally grateful to this man for telling me about Empire! Their albums have been on constant play since I first heard them, an amazing blend of Mineral-esq midwest emo, post-emo and some indie elements, incredible vocals, a true poet. It manages to be catchy and hold true to it's emo roots at the same time through the guitars and the lyrical content and styles.

I will simply say I am in love with this band.
